About Us

MGLF’s founding member, Ms. May, comes from a family of law professionals. Both of her parents were lawyers. Ms. May’s maternal grand-father, U Myo Khin (Barrister at Law) was the son of Sir Maung Khin who was the first knighted Burmese and the first Burmese Attorney General of Burma (Myanmar). Ms. May inherits passion for justice and love for this particular
profession from her parents and her ancestors. She has invested time and effort to become a professional lawyer in preserving justice in human society.

Meet With Our Team

May Phyo Khin

Ms. May obtained her LL.B and LL.M (Commercial Law) from the Faculty of Law, University of Yangon. In 2009, she started her career as a legal assistant in IP section at The Law Chambers, a renowned law firm in Yangon. She has attended several international IP conferences across South-East Asia and Europe. In the same year, Ms. May joined Myanmar G.B.L.F, a law firm which is her family’s business. She obtained a diploma in IP in 2017. In 2019, Ms. May established her own law firm M.G.L.F Services and she has been rendering her professional expertise. She is a member of INTA, AIPA And APAA.

Zaw Min Hlaing

Mr. Zaw obtained his LL.B from University of Yangon. He continued his studies in Law in Cambodia , specializing in Land and Natural Resources Law. He submitted a paper on Constitution, the Republic of South Korea. Formerly, Mr. Zaw was a news reader and news editor of Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV). He was also an appointed officer at Information of Public Relations section of President’s Office. Mr. Zaw is now soliciting and providing legal services to the clients. He is also working for Myanmar Lawyers’ Network and Member of Broadcasting Law Amendment and Drafting Committee (MOI).

Ni Ni Oo

Ms. Ni Ni joined M.G.L.F as a Legal Manager in early 2020. She used to be a demonstrator at Law Departments of Dagon University, Mandalay University and Magway University for almost a decade. She worked as a Legal Consultant at DFDL law firm. Ms. Ni Ni obtained LL.M (Credit) from Dagon University. She is also a legal researcher. Ms. Ni Ni is also proficient in Japanese and English.

Khin Mar Cho

Ms. Cho obtained her L.L.B from University of Dagon and Diploma in IP. She attended the many related IP courses and attribution course as well. She is handling litigation cases and real estate matters. She is a member of Yangon Legal Association. In addition to the fulltime staff, MGLF also have two supporting employees on the Intellectual Property team, in Intellectual Property Laws.

Mi Yin San

Ms. Yin has got first Bachelor engineering (Civil) from Mandalay Technological University (1998- 2002) and second Bachelor engineering (Civil) from Yangon University (2002-2003). Her thesis title is Experimental Research on Construction Ferrocement Fixed Dome Digester. Her work experiences Assistant Lecturer, Part-Time Lecturer at Private Universities and Assistant professor. She likes learning new thing. She has experience on Patent.
